Welcome back, Tiger Cubs!
What a great first week of school! There are a lot of new faces AND a bunch of returning faces we missed so much over the summer break. We look forward to watching your children learn and grow during the 23-24 school year.
Couple of reminders going into our first full week:
- Weekly bulletins will be sent home every Friday, as well as posted on our district website and Facebook. www.usd340.org
- The district is moving towards going paperless. We would like to invite you to pay your child’s lunch balance online. If you have questions, please call the office and we can either walk you through the steps, or take your card by phone. If you choose to send a check, please remember to note your child’s name in on the memo line.
- Any day your child is absent, please notify the office by 9:00 a.m. stating the reason he or she is not in school. If proper notification is not received by 9:00 a.m., the student will receive an unexcused absence for that day.
- If you are at a doctor’s appointment, please bring a doctor’s note back with you. We are continuing to track attendance this year.
- Please be mindful of our limited parking and security measures we must take to keep our children safe. When dropping your child(ren) off in the morning, we ask that you utilize the “hug zone” just outside the school doors at the red line. If you have a bill to pay, or a delivery to make, you are welcome to come in to the building, as we are not closed.
Note from Nurse Abby: Jefferson West School District will provide Dental Screenings to all students enrolled, unless their parent/guardian has notified the school, to opt their child(ren) out of the dental screening. Please send a signed note or email Nurse Abby, abby.martin@usd340.org by September 14th, if you want your student opted out of the screening.

September 1st- Late Start – Busses will run one hour later. Classes begin at 9:00 A.M.
August 4th - Labor Day – NO SCHOOL
