Halloween: In accordance with school policies, we will follow the guidelines of NO replica of weapons: firearms, swords, chains, clubs, pitchforks, or anything that could be used as a weapon. No roller blades will be allowed. No pets of any kind will be allowed. All treats that are brought to school, including Halloween treats, need to be store-bought and prepackaged. Please do not open the package to decorate the treats at home. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter and for keeping our children safe from food allergies.
Halloween Parade: The students will be in class learning until 1:45 p.m. Parents can start signing in at 1:30 p.m., but will not be able to go to the classroom until 1:45. Parties will start at 2:00. In addition, we are asking that all parents leave the school building at 2:30 so we can line the students up for the parade. The parade will begin at 2:40. The parade will go down Main Street to the Post Office, turn around, and come back to the elementary school. *The parade will be canceled if it is raining or the temperature is below 45 degrees* For the safety of all the children, following the parade, all students from kindergarten through 4th will re-enter the building prior to any parents coming inside. Once the students are safely in their classrooms, we will open the front door and parents may go to their child’s classroom and sign them out.
4th Grade Grandparent’s Day: 4th Grade Grandparent's Day will take place on November 9th. We invite all 4th-grade grandparents and grand-friends to visit their grandchildren at the elementary school at 1:30 P.M. You may start signing in at 1:15. We will not be able to dismiss your grandchild with you unless we have been given permission (per the slip sent home). We do ask that you only take the 4th grader, as the other grandchildren will get their special time on another date. We ask that you come back and join us at 7:00 P.M. for a wonderful concert that they have prepared to put on for you. Holiday Dinner: Forms were sent home Monday. The deadline to sign up to attend is November 3rd. Please call the office if you have any questions. Lunch times are as follows: K – 11:00 AM 1st – 11:25 AM 2nd – 11:40 AM 3rd – 11:55 AM 4th – 12:10 PM
