4th Grade Grandparent’s Day: 4th Grade Grandparent's Day will take place on November 9th. We invite all 4th-grade grandparents and grand-friends to visit their grandchildren at the elementary school at 1:30 P.M. You may start signing in at 1:15. We will not be able to dismiss your grandchild with you unless we have been given permission (per the slip sent home). We do ask that you only take the 4th grader, as the other grandchildren will get their special time on another date. We ask that you come back and join us at 7:00 P.M. for a wonderful concert that they have prepared to put on for you. If you are not able to make it, follow us on Facebook at “Jefferson West Elementary” and click on the live stream.
Note from Nurse Abby: We are seeing an increase in absences due to illness. Please remember to clean your child's water bottle. If they have a cold, work with them on how to blow their nose with a Kleenex to get rid of mucus. Change out items such as toothbrushes when your child has been ill. Rest, hydration, healthy eating habits, and exercise help children fight colds and illnesses they will be exposed to.
Veteran’s Day Assembly: We invite all veterans to please join us this Friday, November 10th for a celebration in your honor. This assembly has always been a big one for us, as the students AND staff look forward to it every year! Reserved seating will be available for veterans and their children/grandchildren. Feel free to come in uniform!
Harvester’s Update: Great news!! We have more BackSnacks available than what we were anticipating! If you would like your child to receive a BackSnack each Friday, please call the school so we can get them added to the list. Thank you!
