What a great first week of school! We were so excited to see all the new AND returning faces this year. We look forward to watching your children learn and grow during the 24-25 school year. Couple of reminders:

1. Weekly bulletins will be sent home every Friday, as well as posted on our district website. www.usd340.org

2. When sending money to the school for lunches/milk, please make check payable to USD 340 and have your child’s name on the memo. If sending cash, please put the cash in a sealed envelope and write “lunch money” and your child’s name on the outside of the envelope.

3. Any day your child is absent, please notify the office by 9:00 a.m. stating the reason he or she is not in school. If proper notification is not received by 9:00 a.m., the student will receive an unexcused absence for that day.

4. If you are at a doctor’s appt, please bring a doctor’s note back with you.

5. Please be mindful of our limited parking and security measures we must take tp keep our children safe. When dropping your child(ren) off in the morning, we ask that you utilize the “hug zone” just outside the school doors at the red line. If you have a bill to pay, or a delivery to make, you are welcome to come in to the building, as we are not closed.

6. As you may have read in our 24-25 Student Handbook, late start is a little different this year. 6 days – two hour late start on the following dates for the school year: September 13, November 15, January 17, February 14, April 11, and May 9. Doors open at 9:30, classes being at 10:00. Busses and breakfast will run two hours later on the late start days. Please plan accordingly. Thank you.

Reminder from Booster Club: There’s still time to get your booster club membership forms in! We now have an online form! The deadline to get your name/logo in the program and banners is August 23rd. https://forms.gle/N5QrKeam4gBBKCEi8 or visit “Jeff West Booster Club” on Facebook.

Note from Nurse Kelsey: Please be vigilant about turning in your physicals and immunizations, if you have not done so. An exclusion date will be coming, and we want to ensure all students remain in class. Thank you.
