Parent Night: This will take place in the elementary school gym at 6:00 P.M; Doors will open at 5:30 P.M to sign your four and over children up for childcare. Please join us for an informative evening consisting of all things Tiger. The presentation will include how to help our students do their Tiger Best, and go over student/parent expectations. Childcare for children four years or older will be provided by JAG Kids Ministry out on the playground. Many activities will be available. You must first sign in your child at the tables located inside the building, where you and your child will receive a wristband.
Note from Nurse Abby Part I: USD 340 will provide Dental Screenings to all students enrolled, unless their parent/guardian has notified the school, to opt their child(ren) out of the dental screening. Please send a signed note or email Nurse Abby, abby.martin@usd340.org by September 19th, if you want your student opted out of the screening.
Note from Nurse Abby Part II: Medication forms are available on the school website and in the school offices. Please complete the form and bring the medication to the school office, if your child will need medications, including inhalers, at school. Medications must be labeled with the unexpired prescription label or in the original sealed over the counter bottle/box.
Her Hike: Her Hike sign-up has come home this week (Bright Orange Packet). Please be sure to get those turned in no later than Tuesday, August 27th. If you need another one, feel free to contact the office.
News from the Lunchroom: Cold lunch parents, we are seeing that many children are struggling with opening their prepackaged food from home. Please practice with your child, at home, opening these packages. We definitely do NOT mind helping, that’s what we’re here for. We currently ask them to try, first, with our guidance. However, we are limited in the number of adults in the lunchroom that can help, and it becomes quite overwhelming spending 30 minutes each day opening yogurt, jerky, fruit snacks, etc. Possibly cutting a small slit in the package may reduce some of these issues. Hot lunch parents, we are seeing a rapid increase in negative balances. Please be vigilant about keeping your students lunch account in the positive. Thank you for all your help in these matters!
