Holiday Dinner: Reservation forms were sent home today. Hard deadline of Tuesday, November 5th due to the food ordering process. Please call the office at 484-2455 if you have any questions.
Veteran’s Day Assembly: If you would like to lend us an item to place in our display case in the foyer, please bring that item to school by November 1st.
Note from the Nurses: Pneumonia, Impetigo, and Strep infections have been reported in our schools. We truly appreciate those that have reached out to let us know what their child has been ill with. When you do, we can take additional measures to stop the spread, as well as provide better support for your child’s return from illness related absence. One of the many benefits of being part of a small rural community is the concern we have for our neighbor, classmate, and teammate. Covering your cough and washing your hands are two simple but important things our kids can do. We are cleaning and disinfecting more frequently. If you completed the form at enrollment for your child to have tylenol and/or ibuprofen, this cannot be given for illness. Keep your child home if they are ill. A doctor’s note may be requested for your child’s return, if your child returns with symptoms.
REMINDER FOR HALLOWEEN🎃: All treats that are brought to school, including Halloween treats, need to be store-bought and prepackaged. Please do not open the package to decorate the treats at home. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter and for keeping our children safe from food allergies. The students will be in class learning until 1:45 p.m. Parents can start signing in at 1:30 p.m., but will not be able to go to the classroom until 1:45. Parties will start at 2:00. In addition, we are asking that all parents leave the school building at 2:30 so we can line the students up for the parade. The parade will begin at 2:40. The parade will go down Main Street to the Post Office, turn around, and come back to the elementary school. *The parade could be canceled if it is raining or the temperature is below 45 degrees* For the safety of all the children, following the parade, all students from kindergarten through 4th will reenter the building prior to any parents coming inside. Once the students are safely in their classrooms, we will open the front door and parents may go to their child’s classroom and sign them out. In accordance with school policies, we will follow the guidelines of NO replica of weapons: firearms, knives, swords, chains, clubs, pitchforks, or anything that could be used as a weapon. No rollerblades will be allowed. No pets of any kind will be allowed.
