This "Storytelling World Award" winner is about a village that two hungry travelers happen stumble upon. Unfortunately, none of the villagers liked to share their food. The travelers bring the village together to make a magical soup that starts with a stone. Each villager ends up being willing to contribute an item to the soup for all to share.
Our first graders read the story and put together the soup by each of them bringing an item to contribute.
