No School Reminder – Parents, please keep an eye on the bulletin that is in your child’s book bag every Friday! It has important information on it, including days we are out of school. Our upcoming no school days will be January 20th (MLK Day), February 10th (Professional Development), and February 17th (Parent/Teacher Conferences).

Barn Burner – Get your tickets for the Barn Burner here: https://square.link/u/BGV3D7rO! Join us on January 25th at The Silo in Meriden for an unforgettable evening filled with dueling pianos, delicious bites from local restaurants, live & silent auctions, and so much more!

1st Grade Grandparents Day – January 28th is Grandparent’s Day for 1st Grade! Grandparents may arrive between 1:20-1:30 for an afternoon full of fun activities. There will be a permission slip going home for parents to sign giving their child permission to leave with their grandparent at the end of the day. We look forward to seeing the kids spend time with their grandparents!

JWES Preschool Coordinator/Teacher Needed: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Coordinator/Teacher to lead our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing, engaging, and safe environment for children aged 3 to 5 years old, promoting their social, emotional, and cognitive development. If you or someone you know might be interested please contact the elementary school!

Note from the Nurses: We will continue following the recommendations to limit the spread of illness. This includes not medicating for symptoms of illness. If your child has symptoms of illness, including cough, sore throat, congestion, staff will not administer fever reducers, such as tylenol or ibuprofen, without a note from the child's medical provider, stating the child is not contagious. K.S.A 65-122.
