We are in the midst of a school-wide Social Studies unit focusing on Chinese culture. February 1st will mark the beginning of the Year of the Tiger in China, so as the Jeff West Tigers we thought it would be a fun time to learn about that country. We believe that learning about the people in other countries will broaden our students' horizons. The Olympics begin soon from China and the book we will use for One Book-One School will be based on a Chinese story. Our study of the people of China and their culture in no way implies our agreement with or approval of the beliefs or politics of the Chinese government.
First Grade Families: Please watch your email for information about our upcoming program Thursday night!
Coach David Bowen will be providing baseball practice to any age boys on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:30-5:30 at $35/session. Sessions can be individual or up to groups of three. Please contact Mammoth to set up your sessions at 785-484-2326. If you have any further questions, please contact Coach Bowen at david.bowen@usd340.org.
JWBA is ready to register for the upcoming baseball/softball/t-ball season. Please see flyer sent home with your child.
Jeff West continues to offer COVID testing at the football stadium. Please see email sent out on 1/19/2022 from Mr. Happer and Nurse Abby for updated guidance. Thank you for your continued cooperation!
Due to COVID: 1. We are not using the drinking fountains. Please send your child/children with a refillable water bottle. We have filling stations available.
2. Students will only be allowed to ride their assigned bus(s).
