eSports update from Coach, Alan Dick... Camden Pfeifer finished his season with a win in the consolation match to determine 3rd place. This means that the Jefferson West Esports team has earned its first spot on the podium at the national level!!! The MarioKart team won both of their matches this week and have advanced to the semifinal round, which will be played Monday afternoon. Two more matches for the gold! Leroy Staniec remains in contention for a placement in Minecraft, currently sitting in 7th place in the points standings. He will play his final round of matches on Tuesday afternoon. Congratulations to sophomore Jason Payne! Friday, 4/26, Jason set a new Jefferson West High School record in the Triple Jump, while also winning the competition. Jason's jump of 42'4.75" eclipsed the old record of 42'3.75" set in 1998 by Dan Shirley. MEGA TIGER ROAR!!

Congratulations to our JV golfers! They placed second in the Hiawatha JV Tournament on Monday. The Tigers were led by Talan Truhe with a 6th place finish and Alan Hawkins with an 8th place finish! TIGER ROAR!!

Fine Arts Night - take two. We are planning to host our Fine Arts Night this evening after needing to reschedule it due to the storms last night. Please come join us for some great music from our band, beautiful songs from our Choirs, and view all of the fine works of art from our artists. The program begins at 7 p.m. and will be held in the high school commons.

Mrs. Frakes and Mr. Stapp, Principals are often the unsung heroes of a good school environment. Saturday was another great day for the Jefferson West High School Music Department! They competed at State Solo and Ensemble in Gypsum, KS. Our Lakeside Singers received all Outstanding (1) and Excellent (2) ratings! TIGER ROAR!!!! The FFA Greenhouse is OPEN!! We are open during school hours (8-11am and 12:30-3:30pm). We have both annual flowers and vegetable plants for sale. Please come and support our ag program and students that have had such a large impact in producing these plants for you.
