Cheer and Dance Showcase Competition at Washburn Rural. On Saturday both the JW cheer team and the Weststeppers performed at the Washburn Rural Showcase to help them prepare for the state competition. The coronation will take place before the game at 6:30 pm, on Friday, Oct. 7th, Come cheer the Tigers on to a victory!

Join us Wednesday Oct. 5th for JW High School's Homecoming activities. Parade begins at 6:30 starting at the high school and going to the FB stadium. A pep rally at the stadium will begin at the conclusion of the parade. After prom will be providing a meal. Come join us for some "Loco for Hoco" fun.

Varsity volleyball tournament at home tomorrow.

FCCLA attended the Take Aim leadership conference in Manhattan on August 28th and 29th. They were provided the opportunity to network with other FCCLA chapters, listen to speakers, create actions plans for their FCCLA chapter and participate in leadership growth activities.

Members of SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions) completed seatbelt and distracted driving checks this week. Their data showed 85.56% of the drivers and passengers were belted and 9.85% drivers were distracted.

What fun and exciting first day of school!!!! Teachers made a welcome tunnel for the students. There was welcome back assembly, donuts, along with a cookout with tailgating games at lunch. Let’s have a great year Tigers!
