Hello! My name is Brooklyn Petrie. I am the new middle school art teacher! I was born and raised in Topeka, Kansas and graduated from Shawnee Heights High School. This last May I earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art Education and graduated Magna Cum Laude with art department honors from Washburn University. I am very proud to say I have had my artwork displayed in five different exhibitions across the state, one show being a solo exhibition. Over the summer, my spouse and I celebrated our first anniversary! Together we are raising two beautiful girls, one of which is a beagle mix named Coriander, and the other, named Casper, is a Dalmation/greyhound mix. During my time in both high school and college, I was a cheerleader. Therefore, I could not be more excited to work with Coach Bahr as her assistant coach for the high school cheer squad.
